Figments by Amber Vittoria

Description

“Figments” is my first generative collection not done in partnership with another artist. Pieces in this series are a celebration of the thoughts that don't quite make it to reality, the dreams we decide to keep as just dreams. Each piece is a visual representation of these notions, nodding to the joy that is ideating.

Playing with the idea of dreaming, both during the day and at night, when folks mint this collection during the night (based on Pacific time), the background color scheme becomes a bit darker, further celebrating the different dreams we have (even the wild ones where we are flying)!

Other elements of blockchain data used include the transaction hash, which seeds randomness, and the number of tokens minted, which increases the size of each stack of circles.

I can’t wait to see what pieces are generated during this mint, which will take place on October 5th at 1pm EST and last until October 7th at 1pm EST.

About me

My name is Amber Vittoria, and I am an artist, poet, and author working in Los Angeles, California. Taking advantage of the fluidity of ink, color pencil and acrylic paints, I create aqueous rainbow gradients that dominate my compositions. Punctuated by simple graphite line drawings and impactful words, my work draws on my relationship to beauty, emotion and societal expectations.

A bit about my background as an artist: I am a Forbes 30 Under 30 Recipient,  One Club Young Gun, Society of Illustrators Gold Medalist, American Illustration Chosen Winner, AOI World Illustration Overall Winner, and ADC Annual Award Winner.

My work has been recognized by Print Magazine, It’s Nice That, Computer Arts, HuffPost, and Teen Vogue. Some of my clients include Facebook, Warby Parker, Apple, The New York Times, NBC, Google, Gucci, Condé Nast, Adidas, and Snapchat.
