Now Live: Import Generative Collections Into Foundation Worlds

Starting today, Generative Series collections created on Highlight can be imported into Foundation Worlds.

This partnership is a milestone for several reasons.

First, it’s clear that digital artists need more options when it comes to releasing their work. As the first open-access generative art platform on Ethereum, we’ve believed in open tooling and providing options to artists since our launch.

Now, our partnership with Foundation allows artists to maintain full control over their work while participating in a vibrant, decentralized curatorial ecosystem through Worlds.

Second, we’ve worked closely with Foundation on a best-in-class product experience for both artists, collectors, and now curators. Streamlined tools help everyone in the ecosystem focus on what they love most, and reduce the burden of successfully releasing work.

With the rise of digital art on the blockchain, generative systems have rapidly evolved into one of the most exciting, passion-fueled genres. With Worlds, artists and curators can work hand-in-hand, leveraging each other's visions, strengths, and networks. Worlds fosters a symbiotic alliance between artists and curators, jointly harnessing strengths to release boundary-pushing art.

This collaboration between artists and curators has existed for centuries in the art world, but often under the surface. We’re thrilled to help accelerate the digital art revolution in a way where both creators have transparent upside in the work's reception and endurance, with each leveraging the other's gifts.

How the integration works

Once artists have formed relationships with curators and are ready to release their work together, they can start using the integration.

After the artist’s generative series is listed in a world, it can be scheduled as a Dutch or fixed-price auction and tracked via their Highlight (or Worlds) dashboard. When a collector mints the series, the code runs in real-time to create the buyer’s unique artwork, just as it does on Highlight.
